Modern DSLR or DSLM cameras offer impressive image sharpness. This is an advantage in many situations, but can be a hindrance, especially if a certain cinematic look is to be achieved. To achieve this look, so-called haze, blur or mist filters can be used. And what originally comes from film is also being discovered by more and more photographers as a stylistic device. For this reason, we have developed our F:X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II, which fits perfectly into the range of magnetic round filters.

Depending on the diameter of the lens, the round filter is mounted using the F:X Pro Magnetic Base Ring Mark II.

The use of soft-focus filters

With its small black particles in the glass, the F:X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II reduces the contrast. This makes light sources in particular appear softer, while this effect has hardly any influence on shadow areas. Another effect of the haze filter is that the skin of models is softened. Overall, the image takes on a slightly foggy or misty appearance and is therefore ideal for atmospheric photography and videography.

Like all filters in the F:X Pro series, we have also equipped the F:X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II with our proprietary F:X Pro Coating, which ensures that your images are always razor-sharp, even with extremely high-resolution cameras with 150 megapixels. The reflectance of our F:X Pro filters is also 99.5 percent. These filters give you exemplary color fidelity - and faithfully reproduce your subject.

Our filters are made of Gorilla®* glass so that we can offer you products that you can enjoy for a long time. Thanks to a special manufacturing process, it is legendarily resistant and at the same time guarantees extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass the ultimate hardness against mechanical impact and ensures that even dirt caused by grease, water or mud can be removed quickly and effortlessly.

But our filters are not only scratch-resistant - they are also temperature-resistant. We have tested this under the highest quality standards in scorching heat and freezing cold. In short: they are the best filters we have ever built.

OPTIONAL EXPANSION OPTIONS

The F :X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II can be easily combined with our other magnetic filters in the F:X Pro Magnetic Round Filter Mark II series. Thanks to its two magnetic sides, it can be easily attached to the magnetic base ring or a magnetic step-up ring and another filter can be attached. It can also be stowed away quickly when not in use. For this purpose, the round filter can simply be connected to another filter in the F :X Pro Magnetic Round Filter Mark II range using the magnets and closed with the optionally available F :X Pro Magnetic End Cap Mark II and F :X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II.
