B+W Basic CPL Polarizing Filter MRC 40.5mm
Since the B+W Basic CPL Polarizing Filter MRC 40.5mm can be rotated in the mount, the erasing effect in the viewfinder or on the display can be regulated in a recognizable way. Another effect of the B+W polarizing filters is the reduction of reflections on non-metallic surfaces such as water, shop windows, paint. Objects behind them, even lettering behind reflective paint, become recognizable again - a fascinating image enhancement without image processing!
B+W polarizing filters are circular polarizing filters that take into account the different measuring systems of cameras. This is the case with almost all modern cameras when beam splitters are involved in the TTL exposure meter or autofocus beam path. This prevents incorrect exposures. The extension factor is up to 3 f-stops. With the B+W Käsemann High Transmission Polarizing Filter approx. 2-3, this corresponds to +1 to +1.5 f-stops.
- Universal polarizing filter with high optical quality
- Fast and easy alignment due to optimized knurl
- Easier attachment due to new coating technology
- Suitable for wide-angle to telephoto lenses
- Designed for all cameras with and without internal metering (autofocus and light metering)
- Made in Germany
- MRC coating (Multi Resistant Coating on both sides)
TIP
Maximum effect is achieved in landscape photography with a shooting angle of 90° to the sun. For a uniform effect in the picture, the focal length should not be less than 35 or 28 mm in 35 mm format because of the uneven polarization of the sky light. In general, reflections can be completely suppressed in the ideal case with the help of a correctly oriented polarizing filter. The ideal case here means that the illumination and recording angles are approximately the same and correspond to the angle of maximum polarization, usually 30° to 40°.
