The HOYA HD Nano Mk II truly sets the benchmark for the premium class of filters. The quality of the filter is convincing in all areas and at the same time offers the best effectiveness and protection. This Titan is perfect for advanced and professional photographers - especially those who frequently shoot in harsh conditions and require an extra level of quality for their filter.
A really strong filter! The unsurpassed strength of the ultra-hard nano-coating
The most sensitive part of filters is known to be their coatings. Through daily use and wiping when cleaning the filter, the coating is worn away and therefore does not last forever. The filter protects against potential physical damage - but the coating should also be exceptionally strong so as not to wear away during routine maintenance. If the coating loses its effectiveness, image quality suffers.
But not with the HD nano Mk II's ultra-hard nano-coating! This newly developed coating is applied to the glass surface of the filter more firmly and densely than ever before at nano level. As a result, the particles are layered with extremely high density on the glass surface, creating a hard-to-remove and smooth coating. By applying an incredible 32 layers to both sides of the filter glass, the coating becomes an astonishing 800% more scratch resistant than conventional coatings - and can even protect against direct wiping with steel wool! The smoothness of the coating gives the filter stain resistance as well as water and oil repellent properties, making daily cleaning as quick and easy as possible.
The Armor is the HD reinforced optical UV-cut glass
While the coating ensures the best image quality, the filter glass is essential for the actual protection of the lens.
