Rollei F:X Pro UV Filter
The UV filter of the "F:X Pro" series is an extremely practical screw-on lens attachment that mainly ensures that the ultraviolet component in sunlight is specifically blocked and does not lead to unwanted color distortions.
UV light is invisible to human eyes and can very easily have a disturbing effect on image sharpness - it can be very problematic, especially with strong detail enlargements.
In addition, a UV filter also has mechanical advantages - due to its otherwise very image-neutral properties, it can remain permanently on the lens (even when shooting without daylight) and in this way protects the expensive optics from damage.
Precisely because most camera sensors nowadays already block UV light ex works, the inexpensive additional protection of expensive lenses is a particularly efficient area of application for today's UV filters. And thanks to Gorilla® glass and dirt-repellent multi-coating, Rollei's UV filters have been optimized for exactly this purpose.
In addition, Rollei has provided the filter with the Luminance Coating, so that their reflectance freedom is 99.5 percent. This guarantees you razor-sharp images - even with "high-end" cameras with 150 MP. Color fidelity is exemplary, which means you can capture your surroundings exactly as you saw them.
The Rollei filters are made extremely durable by Gorilla® glass. Its special manufacturing process makes it particularly resistant while bringing high light transmission and color neutrality. The anti-scratch layer makes dirt easy to remove and also gives the glass its special hardness. But it is not only scratch and break resistant - it is also temperature resistant. Tested Rollei this under the highest quality standards at high heat and great cold. You want the best filters Rollei has ever built? With the F:X Pro, you get them.
