The redesigned flash head and internal structure of the HVL-F28RM are now smaller and more portable, making it ideal for mirrorless compact cameras. This flash fits in any pocket - yet its performance can rival the top-of-the-line HVL-F45RM flash at identical lighting angles. It also works well as an indirect flash in a wide variety of shooting situations.

Comprehensive in-camera control
Flash compensation, light ratio, and other differentiated flash parameters can be directly controlled via compatible cameras. You can configure a dedicated camera button to call up the flash parameters, allowing you to control them directly from the camera when looking through the viewfinder. Flash parameters are displayed in the specified language of the camera display.

Fast operation through direct output adjustment
LEVEL -/+ buttons provide direct control of light output and flash compensation for fast, efficient operation and output adjustment for other paired wireless flash units as well - for smooth, uncomplicated workflows.

Extensive flash capabilities
The HVL-F28RM is equipped with the same high-speed, multiple flash and other flash functions as the HVL-45RM and HVL-60RM.

Wireless radio control for a wide range of shooting situations
The HVL-F28RM can be used for wireless radio control: One HVL-F28RM is attached to a compatible camera as a remote control and coupled with a second, external HVL-F28RM as a receiver. Radio communication reliably covers greater distances than optical communication - even in bright sunlight or with obstacles between the camera and the subject. As a flash controller, the HVL-F28RM can control up to 15 flash and/or receiver units in 5 groups over distances of up to 35 m, making outstandingly versatile lighting control possible.
