The EF 24mm f/1.4L II provides excellent image quality even in low-light conditions thanks to its fast f/1.4 aperture. Aspherical and UD lenses
Two additional high-precision aspherical lenses for correcting aberrations such as image field curvature and distortion result in significantly optimized imaging performance. Subwavelength Structure Coating
Specially developed for use in digital cameras, Canon features a new, patented lens coating to reduce flare and phantom images caused by reflections inside the lens. This visibly increases imaging quality.
USM
The EF 24mm f/1.4L II's virtually silent ring-type ultrasonic motor (USM) enables exceptionally fast automatic focusing; of course, it can be switched to manual focus at any time. Internal focusing contributes to high image quality throughout the distance range.
Rugged construction
