Unparalleled optical performance, stunning image detail

Capturing the subtlest nuances of light and shadow starts with the lens. The XCD 4/28P has an optical structure of nine elements in eight groups, including two aspherical elements and an ED glass element, which ensures excellent imaging while effectively suppressing chromatic dispersion. The lens impresses with its well thought-out arrangement, compact size and high performance, which meets the resolution requirements of 100 million pixels. A slightly wider angle allows for significantly larger scenes. The wide-angle lens with an equivalent focal length of 22 mm and f4.0 aperture makes it easy to capture nature, street culture and urban architecture. With a minimum focusing distance of 22 cm and a magnification of 1:6, detailed close-ups of flowers, food and much more are effortless.

Flexible focusing - for snapshots

The XCD 4/28P has a linear stepping motor and a lighter, smaller lens group for focusing. When used with X2D 100C PDAF technology, the focusing lens group can quickly reach the focusing position and achieve a precise f-stop. This results in fast, precise and responsive focusing, so your scene is captured before the shutter clicks.

Fast central shutter, unlimited creative freedom

The lens' small but powerful central shutter supports flash sync shooting at all shutter speeds, with flash sync up to 1/4000 sec. Shoot in bright sunlight with flash to capture the dynamic juxtaposition of the subject and highlight your subject while darkening the background
