LAOWA 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift for Pentax K
Extreme wide angle shift lens for full frame cameras. It offers excellent optical properties and technical features. The angle of view is an enormous 110 degrees, more than any previously available shift lens on the market. Thanks to a maximum shift of ± 11mm, this lens is perfect for architectural photography. Even very tall buildings can be imaged with it without plunging lines. Today, shifting would also be possible afterwards via image processing, but this would crop the image and reduce the advantage of the large image angle. It also saves work and preserves the quality of the original.
The 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift is another lens in the successful LAOWA Zero-D series that gives photographers image results with straight lines and no distortion. This top optical performance is achieved thanks to 17 elements in 11 groups with 2 aspherical elements. The closest focusing distance, at just 20cm, allows for impressive close-ups with a macro-like effect, while the focal length provides a unique width in the image. Focusing and aperture adjustment are manual.
A new lens coating has also been implemented to achieve a significant reduction in chromatic aberration. Despite the special capabilities offered by this lens, it is surprisingly compact and lightweight with a diameter of 79mm and a length of 124.5mm and a weight of 682g. Thanks to the 5 aperture blades, shooting against the sun or a point light source results in a beautiful 10-beam reflection.
The built-in rotation function allows photographers to change the shift shift direction to portrait in a snap. The mechanism is available for a complete 360 degrees, with the lens locking every 15 degrees.
A Shift Lens Support tripod clamp, available as an accessory, is perfectly suited in combination with the LAOWA 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift for panorama shots, among other things, and avoids parallax errors, for example. Precise alignment of the lens-camera position is thus guaranteed in every direction.
