LAOWA 20mm f4 Zero-D Shift for Sony E full frame
The LAOWA 20mm f4 Zero-D Shift for Sony E full frame offers outstanding optical properties and technical features. The angle of view is an enormous 94.4 degrees, and 117 degrees for a full shift panorama shot. This corresponds to a focal length of about 13mm
.Thanks to a maximum shift of up to +/- 11mm in full format, this lens is perfect for architectural photography. In medium format, the shift is also up to +/- 11mm on the X-axis and up to +/- 8mm on the Y-axis.
Even very tall buildings can be imaged with it without any plunging lines.
Today, shifting would also be possible afterwards via image processing, but this would crop the image and thus reduce the advantage of the large image angle. In addition, this saves work and the quality of the original is preserved.
The 20mm f4 Zero-D Shift is another lens in the successful LAOWA Zero-D series that gives photographers image results with straight lines without distortion. This optical excellence and great sharpness is achieved thanks to 16 elements in 11 groups with 2 spherical and 3 ED elements.
Theclosest focusing distance of only 25cm allows for impressive close-ups, while the focal length of 20mm ensures a very natural perspective in the wide-angle range. The
high-quality lens coating has also been improved even further to minimize flares and ghosting, in addition to the already significant reduction in chromatic aberration. Thanks to the 14 aperture blades, shooting against the sun or a point light source results in a very nice 14-beam sun star. The built-in rotation function allows photographers to change the shift shift direction to portrait in a snap. The mechanism is available for a complete 360 degrees, with the lens locking every 15 degrees.
Another highlight is the rotating lens hood, which can be specifically rotated in the direction of incoming light to avoid unwanted reflections. The fact that the front does not have a dome-shaped glass element means that screw filters with an 82mm diameter can be used
