Pentax HD 15mm f/4 ED AL Limited Black

The PENTAX smc DA 15 mm / 4.0 ED AL Limited is another masterpiece of Japanese lens design. Like its siblings from the Limited Edition series, this robust lens is characterized by its small dimensions. The small size was one of the top priorities, along with the proverbial image quality.

With 23 mm (KB format), there is now also a "real" wide-angle lens in this series.

Limited Edition lenses are distinguished by their design and manufacture.
Thus, the design is subject solely to the point of view of optimal shooting quality. Unlike many other lenses, this series is handmade. Therefore, the daily production quantity is limited - for this reason, these lenses bear the suffix "Limited Edition".

They are designed for reportage use, small, handy and robust. Therefore the Limited Edition lenses fit especially well to the small and handy cameras of the PENTAX series. Especially for street or travel photography small dimensions and weight are more important than many supposedly important features.

The lens includes a lot of interesting features in a very compact aluminum body. An aspherical lens element ensures the highest possible shooting quality.

Another feature is the "Quick-Shift-Focus-System", which allows manual focusing in AF mode, as well as a straight front lens.

The new PENTAX SP coating (SP = Super Protection)isbased on a fluoride compound and has excellent water and grease repellent properties, making it much easier to clean the lens, e.g. from fingerprints.
