This lens is the only one of this focal length for APS-C cameras that is equipped with weather protection. The so-called Samyang Weather Sealing allows you to capture great subjects even in adverse conditions. The rubber lips in the lens and around the mount prevent dust and splashing water from entering, so you can work in snowfall and drizzle or in dusty environments without any problems.

Weighing just 213g, measuring just 59.2mm in length and only 70mm in diameter, the Samyang AF 12 mm F2.0 E is the optimal companion for exploration trips. It is 27% lighter and 27% shorter than comparable lenses, making it the lightest, most compact lens in its class. The filter thread is 62 mm in diameter. The new sophisticated design promises a pleasant feel and makes it easier to operate in the field.

Fast and quiet autofocus
The autofocus in this lens is driven by a linear stepper motor (LSTM) that operates quickly yet quietly, delivering precise results. This means you're equipped for snapshots that need an accurate focus point, especially at open aperture. Video recordings with continuous focus tracking therefore succeed effortlessly and without annoying noise from the focus drive.

Minimum focus distance, extreme quality
The closest focusing distance of this lens is only 19 cm, which allows you to shoot and focus on close objects even in tight situations. The lens includes 12 elements arranged in 10 groups, each lens is multi-coated with Samyang's proprietary Ultra Multi Coating (UMC). Special lenses include 1 hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP), 1 aspherical lens (ASP), and 3 extra low dispersion (ED) glass lenses in the optical path. Thanks to the highest quality glass, images are always sharp from center to edge. The aperture has 7 blades, which allows 14-beam sun stars with brilliant highlights.
