Samyang AF 14mm F2.8 Sony FE
Unique perspectives
Photographing in low ambient light is the great strength of this lens, making it ideal for working with selective focus and for indoor and outdoor photography without flash even in low light conditions. With the help of the aperture of 2.8, which is large for super-wide-angle lenses, objects can be cropped in front of an out-of-focus background. This results in a particularly beautiful contrast between the razor-sharp main subject and the selective blur in the surrounding area. It was also designed to meet the special requirements of filmmakers and videographers
Designed for the best
For the best possible optical performance of the lens, the light flow has been optimized specifically based on the ratio of the lens glass to the position of the sensor of Sony cameras. At the same time, the high-quality 14 mm 2.8 lens has a compact design despite its solid metal body.
High-quality optics
The inner workings of this lens consist of 14 glass elements arranged in 10 groups. This allows for a close focus distance of only 25 cm. 3 aspherical lenses reduce chromatic aberrations and aberrations, providing high imaging performance. This is noticeable in sharp images with crisp contrasts and natural colors. The design is rounded out with a multi-coating that prevents reflections and ghosting.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A large number of lens aberrations such as distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. Thus, the maximum quality is obtained. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not required.
