At just 509 g, the lens is even lighter than its predecessor (568 g), making it the ideal travel companion. Compact and handy, the lens can be conveniently stowed in the camera bag. The newly revised L-STM autofocus of Samyang is powered by a linear stepper motor and triggers faster and quieter than the previous model. As a result, the autofocus delivers optimal and sharp image quality - even with moving subjects. No matter whether photo or video: The quality is right and meets even the highest demands.

Professional functions - always up to date
The Custom Switch and the Focus Hold Button are real enhancements compared to the predecessor. The Custom Switch allows convenient aperture control via the focus ring. The separate Lens Station offers further fine-tuning of the autofocus and updates. This guarantees optimal and up-to-date performance.
Depending on the camera model, individual programming such as eye autofocus can be made and saved via the Focus Hold Button.

For shooting under adverse conditions, the weather protection has been optimized and reliably protects the lens against the penetration of dust, dirt or moisture in 7 different places by means of rubber lips inside and on the bayonet.
