The Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Sports has high optical quality, a robust design and excellent handling. Features that professional photographers and demanding amateurs need. Nine FLD ("F" Low Dispersion) glass elements and one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element are included for excellent color aberration correction - for a total of ten exclusive, low-dispersion glass elements. Extremely high resolution is achieved from the center of the image to the corners, enabling the lens to meet the most demanding requirements of professional photographers under a wide range of shooting conditions. Spherical aberration optimization ensures soft and natural bokeh, making the lens ideal for portrait photography.

Customization options to enhance usability

Various functions can be assigned to an AF function button. Functions other than AF lock can also be assigned to it via the camera menu or with the optional SIGMA USB dock*2. Depending on the user's preferences, it expands the shooting styles. The tripod clamp is made of lightweight yet sturdy magnesium alloy, and the 90° detent makes it easy to switch from portrait to landscape mode or vice versa. The lens attaches directly to an Arca Swiss clamp.

Dust- and splash-proof construction

As a Sports line lens, it is dust- and splash-proof, and together with the water- and oil-repellent coating on the front lens, it ensures safe use even in the most difficult shooting conditions.

Accelerometer allows you to pull along during shooting

The SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Sports also features an intelligent OS*1 that allows you to pull along in all directions thanks to the use of an accelerometer and the latest algorithm. Using HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor), also with updated algorithm, the high-speed autofocus detects any subject movement without delay.

*1 Thanks to the image stabilization function, movements of subjects can be captured in mode 2 without loss of the pull-along effect - regardless of the position of the lens, whether the camera is moved horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Brass bayonet

The lens is equipped with a solid and precise brass bayonet. The special treatment of the surface to reinforce strength allows for long-lasting use.

Reflection and Ghost Eliminating Design
