This wide-angle lens from Sigma opens up a whole new world of photography possibilities. The 16mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary with Fuji X mount corresponds to an angle of view of a lens with 24mm focal length in KB format (35mm) and comes with an extremely high speed of F1.4. The DN lens is compact and lightweight and suitable for everyday use.

The same development concept as the 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary was used and thanks to 16 lenses in 13 groups as well as high-quality materials, first-class optics are delivered. Optical aberrations are effectively minimized and excellent resolution is guaranteed over the entire aperture range.

The mount is splash and dust resistant thanks to a gasket, and the stepper motor allows for smooth autofocus even when shooting video. A lens hood is included to block distracting light and minimize reflections inside the aperture.

The fast standard SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens lets mirrorless camera users experience the fun of shooting at a maximum F1.4 aperture. Particularly appealing are the beautiful bokeh that can only be achieved with a fast lens, and the exceptionally precise optical performance that characterizes a top-of-the-line fixed focal length lens. Our latest technologies and design considerations, characteristic of the Contemporary product line concept, are well balanced in this new lens.

A fixed focal length lens that, at approximately 50mm and a speed of F1.4, offers an angle of view similar to that of the human eye. The shallow depth of field at full aperture offers photographers ideal conditions for fascinating portraits and still lifes. For landscape shots or snapshots, a smaller aperture with greater depth of field can be selected. Standard lenses offer a wide range of photographic applications and have therefore been part of the Sigma Lenses labeled "DC" offer optimal performance on cameras with APS-C image sensors. Using a DC lens on a camera with a full-frame image sensor will inevitably result in vignetting. For optimal results, match the active image field of the sensor to the image circle of the lens. SIGMA lenses with the "DN" designation offer optimal performance when used with cameras with a short flange focal length.

This compact Sigma lens is the smallest medium telephoto lens in its class. Despite its small size, the lightweight 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary is particularly powerful, offering excellent speed and beautiful bokeh. Distortion and vignetting are corrected in the best possible way, and thanks to the use of an SLD glass element, axial chromatic aberrations that are difficult to correct in image processing are efficiently corrected.

Even on APS-C format cameras, which tend to have a less pronounced bokeh compared to full-frame systems, effective bokeh and amazing brightness is provided. The lens can be used in a variety of ways, allowing for snapshots as well as portraits and night shots.

The combination of a stepper motor with the optical setup for AF video shooting gives you quiet and smooth autofocus. The camera's Eye AF functions and Face Detection provide continuous AF tracking on the face or eye, even if the subject moves during shooting.
