The SELP28135G is an electric Zoom lens specifically designed to meet the professional optical and operation requirements of high-quality movie shooting such as in 4K. In this regard, the lens is intended for use with a 35mm full-frame camera such as the α7S or a Super-35 format camcorder such as the PXW-FS7*. Focus breathing and Zoom shift have been reduced to an absolute minimum. Aspherical elements and advanced multi-coating technology provide effective aberration suppression. Low-noise operation is another priority. That's why the SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) drive system ensures accurate and quiet Zoom movements. This E-mount lens has independent control rings for Zoom, focus and iris opening with mechanical steps. Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization technology further enhances the performance of this exceptional lens, which supports a constant 1:4.
* The Zoom range increases to 42-202.5 mm when using the lens with an APS-C or Super 35 camera.
