Sony's state-of-the-art optical technologies enable this fast super-telephoto lens with wide aperture, outstanding resolution to the edge even at F1.8, and exquisite bokeh that is a hallmark of the G Master series.

The advanced optical design with elements of XA (extreme aspherical) glass, Super ED (extra-low dispersion) glass and ED glass in precision arrangement successfully corrects aberrations. The floating focus system, together with this correction, ensures the highest possible resolution over the entire focus range of the lens, right to the edge of the image.

While this is a 135-millimeter telephoto lens, the floating focus system minimizes aberrations at all focus distances. This allows a minimum focus distance of 0.7 meters and magnification up to 0.25 times for close-up shots. This allows fine details and other subjects to be captured at excellent resolution with aesthetic soft background bokeh.
