Tokina SZ 300mm Pro f7.1 MF Canon EF-M

The Tokina lens features a 300mm focal length and is designed exclusively for APS-C mirrorless cameras.

Thanks to a catadioptric optical design, this lens is very lightweight and super compact. This product allows you to enjoy the world of super telephoto photography, and is a perfect option for users looking for affordable super telephoto lens

.

Easier Focusing

Focus assist features like Focus Peaking help you find the sharpest focus point

.

Less vibration

Built-in multi-axis advanced image stabilization systems of mirrorless cameras let you forget about blurry images due to hand shake.

No more slow shutter

Latest mirrorless cameras with advanced wide ISO settings can give photographers a faster shutter speed with minimal pixel noise on the image

.

Smaller than a cup of coffee

The Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF is an ultra-lightweight and compact mirror lens. You no longer need to carry a large camera bag. You can enjoy super telephoto photography casually and comfortably. Our 300mm version fits in your pocket and is smaller than a large cup of coffee.

Tokinas compact mirror lens design was achieved by integrating mirrors on the front and back of the barrel. With standard optical lenses, light passes through the lens and enters the camera sensor. However, with mirror lenses, light enters the lens and reflects off mirrors twice before reaching the sensor. By "folding" the light path twice, the focal length is shortened, allowing for a smaller lens design.

The optical system of mirror lenses is called a catadioptric system

.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope use this catadioptric system, albeit on a much larger scale

.

Better suppression of chromatic aberrations

Telephoto lenses are prone to chromatic aberrations (CA) due to their complex optical design. To reduce CA, manufacturers incorporate additional color correction lens elements into the already bulky and heavy design.

On the contrary, mirror lenses mainly use mirrors in combination with a few lens elements. This optical combination strongly suppresses chromatic aberrations. With the Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF, we have gone beyond this by fully optimizing the optical configuration so that CA is further reduced

.

Low Level Flare and Ghosting

Classic mirror lenses are known for their weakness against flares and ghosting, which occur when light finds tiny gaps that reach the sensor directly.

The Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF is equipped with a shielding ring (baffle) that prevents light from reaching the sensor directly. This suppresses reflections and ghosting, and maintains contrast even without a lens

hood

under general shooting conditions

*It is recommended to attach the hood when shooting under conditions with strong backlighting

.

Integrated mount

The Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF is compatible with APS-C Sony E, Canon EF-M, Fujifilm X mount cameras. This bayonet design allows for stable rendering quality and makes it easy to attach or remove the lens

.

Easy to focus

The Tokina SZ PRO series are manual focus lenses. Tokinas interchangeable lenses are usually equipped with a focus ring that can be rotated 45° to 200°. High-end cinema lenses have larger rotation angles of up to 300°, and

the Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF offers a focus rotation angle of 270°, allowing precise focusing operations in shallow depth of field

.

Perfect round bokeh in a donut shape.

Mirror lenses are known for their unique donut-shaped bokeh, which results from the way they render light sources in out-of-focus areas. Some mirror lenses render incomplete donut-shaped bokeh that appears as a C-shape. The Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF is designed to reduce vignetting to create beautiful bokeh rings

.

Outstanding macro capabilities

The Tokina SZ 300mmPRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF not only works well for long distance shooting, but also for macro photography. Conventional telephoto lenses do not allow macro photography. However, the maximum magnification of this lens is 1:2.5 (0.4x), large enough to enjoy macro photography

Enjoy compression effect

One of the effects that telephoto lenses come up with is compression, where the background appears closer / larger compared to foreground objects. With the compression effect, you can capture enchanting images that are out of this world
