TTArtisan M 28mm f5.6 Leica M black-brass
The TTArtisan M 28mm f/5.6 is a visually very appealing and unusual vintage lens that is also very light and compact. Its discreet appearance makes it ideal for use in street and/or people photography without being distracting or obtrusive.
Photographers of all generations will be won over not only by the optics and the image look, but also by the modern design, nostalgically packaged. And in addition to the silver aluminum version, there is now also a black lacquered brass version. Over time, traces of brass come through again through use, creating an attractive and unique vintage look.
At first you might think: 'only' f/5.6 - but that's exactly the advantage. The strong depth of field from the outset makes handling in street photography so much easier and popular! The photographer does not have to constantly keep an eye on the technology, but can concentrate on the impressions that are important to him.
In purely technical terms, we are talking about just 151 grams in a very attractive black brass housing that is just 51 millimetres in diameter and only 19 millimetres long.
Nevertheless, this small flyweight contains an impressive optical design of seven elements arranged in four groups. These include two elements with a high refractive index and one element with low dispersion, which effectively suppress color differences and keep spherical aberrations in check.
Depending on the application, it is practical that the lens also has a 37mm front thread. Another useful tool is a lever that can be used to fix the infinity setting. This distance is often preselected, especially in street photography. This fixing option means that there can be no accidental adjustment when you are 'in action'.
The aperture and focus are set manually.
