The C in the name of the ZEISS C Sonnar T* 1.5/50 ZM stands for Compact, but also for Classic. Its design and the geometry of the aperture go back to its predecessor from the 1930s: the Sonnar 1.5/50, the fastest normal lens of its time. The already excellent flare suppression inherent in the Sonnar® design is further optimized by the T*® anti-reflective coating from ZEISS. The lens remains true to its history and also looks like a true classic on the outside. With its high speed and beautiful bokeh, it allows for shots with a feel reminiscent of the golden era of rangefinder photography.
