The telephoto lens "Loxia" from Zeiss is particularly compact and handy and still allows for outstanding image quality over the entire image range. It can be used flexibly to take excellent landscape and portrait shots, for example. Thanks to manual focus, you can focus precisely where you want.
The "Loxia" is compatible with the Sony E bayonet and has a large rotation angle, so you can focus on the spot. Changes can be seen directly in the viewfinder. For additional help, the depth of field scale and the exact engraving in meters and feet. The mount is made of high-quality all-metal with an easy-grip aperture and focus ring. A special sealing ring protects the interface between the camera and lens. There are seven lenses in seven groups, made of special glass.
Thanks to the great design based on the lens developed by Dr. Ludwig Bertele in 1930, there are relatively few glass-air surfaces. The latching mechanism of the diaphragm can be "declicked" with the included tool via an adjustment screw. This makes it possible to compensate for unplanned differences in brightness that occur in videos.
