Balloon Softbox with Light Control Curtain

The Quick Ball Softbox is a nearly round light shaper with integrated light control curtain, which allows excellent control of the soft light direction. Available in 100 or 120 centimeter diameters, the Balloon softbox provides ambient light that is ideally distributed in all directions, perfect for indoor shooting.

Via the Bowens S-type bayonet, the light shaper can be used on studio flashes and LED continuous lights, such as the popular Soluna LED continuous lights from Rollei and other products with the appropriate connection. Due to its simple construction, the ball-shaped softbox can be set up easily and quickly and is thus immediately ready for use in the studio or on location. Simply press the Balloon softbox into shape and hook it in place. It is just as easy to take down and stow away after use.

Light control curtain for more flexibility in lighting design

Since the Balloon softbox produces very soft light, it is often used in videography or to illuminate rooms or sceneries. The included light control curtain offers even more flexibility in lighting design. Due to the more precise control of the light direction, the softbox with the attached separable curtain is also ideal for product or portrait photography. The 12-cornered strut construction also creates an almost round softbox shape, which is especially noticeable in natural-looking, round light reflections in a model's eyes.

Stable, robust and versatile in everyday use

The Balloon Softbox from Rollei, available in diameters of 100 or 120 centimeters, impresses despite its size with a stable and robust construction, which has ventilation flaps on the back to prevent heat buildup. For protection when not in use or for transport to shoots away from home, simply fold the light shaper and store it in the included carrying bag.
