The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO is a very compact and lightweight standard zoom lens with constant aperture, making it an excellent addition to the Olympus camera systems. Photographers who travel a lot appreciate lightweight equipment that does not compromise on image quality. Like all models in the PRO series, the Zoom lens is robust and weatherproof and impresses with its outstanding imaging performance.

Compact and lightweight design

The lens design of the M.Zuiko ED 12-45 mm F4.0 PRO is similar to that of the proven ED 12-40 mm F2.8 PRO. The effective placement of special lenses is the basis for the very light and small design with a focal length of 24 to 90 mm (35 mm equivalent). The equally small and lightweight focusing lens ensures fast and precise AF for capturing any subject. The housing is dust-, splash- and frost-proof and sealed in 9 places.

Fixed aperture over the entire Zoom range and high resolution

Aspherical lenses and the ZERO coating (Zuiko Extra-Low Reflection Optical), which offers clear imaging performance, reduce aberrations, ghost images and reflections. Light loss at the edges of the image is suppressed. This results in high-resolution images with perfect imaging performance right up to the edges. As the aperture value remains constant over the entire focal length, the exposure can be easily controlled when Zooming and recording videos.

Outstanding macro capabilities

The M.Zuiko ED 12-45 mm F4.0 PRO is also suitable for macro photography with a maximum magnification of 0.25x (35 mm equivalent = 0.5x) over the entire Zoom range.
