The Nikon D780 is a versatile and powerful digital SLR camera in a class of its own.
The rugged D780 offers a fast Hybrid AF system specifically for Live View shooting and a fast, powerful autofocus system with phase detection and 51 points for photography through the optical viewfinder. When shooting in live view, photographers and filmmakers benefit from the same AF system used in the outstanding mirrorless system camera Nikon Z 6. Eye AF perfectly captures story expression, and "low-light autofocus" ensures reliable subject detection down to -6 EV. Photographers using the optical viewfinder benefit from unique subject tracking and fast switching between advanced AF modes.
Thanks to high continuous shooting rates, this camera is even more versatile, offering up to 7 fps when shooting with the viewfinder and up to 12 fps in silent release mode when shooting live view - both with metering and AF tracking. Another notable feature is the very fast shutter speed of 1/8000s, which allows even fast-moving subjects to be captured sharply. Extending the exposure time up to 900 s also brings out fascinating light trails and night landscapes.
Videographers can shoot outstanding quality footage with the D780. With the image sensor and its increased resolution of 6K, the camera produces excellent 4K/UHD footage at 30p/25p/24p without cropping. Videographers can also record HLG HDR footage with high information density on an external VTR and view it directly on a compatible TV or monitor.
The fast autofocus system with phase detection and 51 points offers sensitivity down to -3 EV. Photographers also benefit from top-of-the-line subject tracking and fast switching between advanced AF modes.
The 273-point hybrid AF system operates at sensitivities as low as -4 EV or as low as -6 EV in low-light AF mode. Eye AF is available for photo shooting.
Up to 7 fps can be captured with AF/AE, or up to 12 fps in Live View silent release mode. Shots in RAW format are also recorded at full resolution.
The optical viewfinder with a magnification factor of 0.70 offers a wide field of view and 100% coverage. The tiltable LCD monitor with 2.359 million pixels allows both autofocus operation and shutter release via touch function.
Compatible with F-mount lenses. CMOS full-frame sensor with 24.5 MP. EXPEED 6 image processor. 180,000-pixel RGB sensor and advanced Scene Recognition System, inherited from the D850.
The D780 offers a wider ISO range than the top-rated D850. The range is from ISO 100 to 51 200 and is expandable up to 204 800 and ISO 50.
High-resolution 4K/UHD footage can be recorded at 30p/25p/24p without cropping. For output, external recording with 10 BIT N-Log and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) are available in addition to internal recording to SD memory card.
In-camera time-lapse function. 2-MP photos at an impressive 120 fps. In-camera digitizing menu. And much more.
Easily transfer images with the camera's high-speed data transfer feature and wireless connectivity. SnapBridge lets users share JPEGs and RAW files with any smart device.
Two SD card slots let you expand storage capacity or use the second card as an in-camera backup.

Rate productNobody needs more camera! The successor to the D750 shines with its new autofocus with silent shutter release, blazing speed, high ISO capability and good connectivity. It's hard to understand all the hype surrounding mirrorless cameras. More pixels? If you don't make prints larger than A3 every day, the 24 MP are more than enough! Plus great workmanship. Any time again!
Review automatically translated! Show originalMehr Kamera braucht kein Mensch! Jederzeit wieder!
