The GK1555T-82TQD is a traveler tripod/head kit consisting of the GT1555T carbon fiber tripod and the GH1382TQD centric ball head.
The Gitzo GT1555T Series 1 Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod is an extremely compact 5-section tripod with Gitzo's proprietary 180° leg folding mechanism, which allows the tripod legs to fold inward around the center column and tripod head to collapse to 35.5 cm. It is recommended for use with lenses from 135 mm to a maximum of 200 mm. By spreading the leg angles and inserting the included short center column, the tripod can be lowered even further for low-angle or macro shots.
The tripod has tripod legs made of Carbon eXact tubes for improved load capacity and rigidity in a slimmer format and "Traveler G-Lock" - a travel-sized version of Gitzo's G-Lock locking mechanism, which is specially designed to guarantee security in a reduced size. The tripod comes with a shoulder strap for comfortable transportation. The precisely adapted compact rubber feet can be easily replaced if necessary.
The Series 1 Traveler centric ball head GH1382TQD is the slimmest tripod head in Gitzo's professional tripod head range. This model has an independent pan lock. It offers uncompromising ball smoothness and is made of high quality, extremely durable steel and aluminum components. The GH1382TQD centric ball head is supplied with a short Arca-Swiss type plate (GS5370SD) and is also perfectly tailored to all Gitzo D-profile plates. The quick-release plate is locked with the help of a locking screw and a level bubble helps the photographer to perfectly align the horizon. This tripod head is compatible with most Arca-Swiss plates from other brands. It does not include a friction control knob.
Just like all other Gitzo centric ball heads, the GH1382TQD is a perfectly balanced and mobile tripod head. Its innovative design guarantees absolutely smooth and precise movement and secure locking.
