This boom stand is a practical solution for setting highlights or general illumination from above. It adds another dimension to the lighting range of your studio flashes. This extremely compact and versatile extension arm can be used to easily and reliably attach light to medium-weight equipment such as studio flashes, video lights, softboxes, backgrounds, reflectors, umbrellas or microphones.

With this boom stand, you can place your equipment very variably close to the ground or, with the telescope segments fully extended, at a height of up to 4 meters.

Versatile application possibilities with compact dimensions
The extension arm of this Boom Stand from walimex pro can be used very variably and can also be used in confined spaces with its minimum length of 70cm. The length of the Boom can be adjusted via two extendable sections from 70 to 183 cm. The 1.5 kg counterweight included in the scope of delivery makes handling much easier in practical applications. Thanks to its holder, the height of the boom can be easily adjusted by up to 180° and the built-in foam rubber handle ensures a high level of operating comfort. The extendable telescopic segments of this boom can be quickly and safely locked and unlocked by the high-quality, blue anodized aluminum clip locks. In addition, the position of the telescopic rod holder can be moved along the longitudinal axis, providing another option for weight and length adjustment. The boom, also called Boom, can be attached to standard lamp tripods via a standard 5/8 inch (16 mm spigot) connection thanks to a solid tripod mount. Thanks to a mounting adapter with 5/8 inch spigot (16 mm spigot) and an additional 1/4 inch thread connection, photo equipment can be easily and quickly mounted on this boom.

High-quality and loadable lamp tripod included
The high-quality processed tripod can be extended with max. 256cm to more than 250cm and is at the same time extremely transportable with only 98cm and therefore perfectly suitable for studio as well as mobile use. Despite the high-quality equipment, the walimex pro Lamp Tripod weighs only 1620 grams. The Tripod convinces with its extremely stable stand, even in fully extended condition. Another plus point is the high permanent load capacity due to a very high-quality and sophisticated construction. All components are very solidly designed and through the use of metal locks and adjustable screws, this tripod still provides a lot of pleasure even after years of use.

Comfortable spring damping
The tripod is equipped with spring damping to ensure smooth lowering of the individual tripod links. Your equipment is therefore always in safe hands. The tripod has a 5/8 inch spigot (16mm spigot) connection with an additional 1/4 inch thread. It can be used to attach the boom, but of course also other photo equipment such as lamps, reflectors or studio flashes up to 6kg. A transport and storage bag for the tripod is already included as standard.
