Leofoto Monopod Head VH-10
Only 90 mm in height and weighing a light 356 g, this head (equipped with 3/8" tripod thread) is just ideal for use on monopods, which are usually compact and lightweight as well. Nevertheless, the VH-10 moves a load of 10 kg with a front tilt of -90° to +90°. The latter can be optimally controlled by laser-engraved scale. The freedom of movement of the VH-10 can be somewhat compared to that of a ball head. However, because it does not contain a solid ball, this tilt is lighter than some ball heads. A handy knob makes releasing and fixing the tilt extremely comfortable and precise. Manufactured as a precision instrument, the VH-10 two-way tilt head is made of high-strength, durable aircraft-grade aluminum that is CNC-machined with extreme care. Two rod bubble levels and one circular bubble level assist with both horizontal and vertical adjustments.
The quick coupling has a laser-engraved, therefore very precise and fine 360° scale, which among other things also contributes to the success of panoramic pans. And of course this coupling is not only fast, but also Arca-Swiss compatible. This makes changing cameras a breeze. If the worst comes to the worst, the quick-release plate is interchangeable with another model, and Leofoto itself already offers a whole range of them.
Another comfort feature should not remain unmentioned: With the Leofoto VH-10 two-way panhead, the camera and telephoto lens may remain on the head and collapsed monopod for transport. You only have to tilt the VH-10 90° all the way forward. This way, telephoto lens and monopod come to lie closely parallel - a very compact unit. And it is quickly ready for use again - for the next, often fleeting motifs.
