Taking content creation to a new level

The Xperia 1 V sets new standards with a newly developed image sensor that enables people, landscapes and scenes to be rendered with rich colors and fine textures even in low light. Performance in low-light conditions is around double that of the previous model. Combined with the Xperia 1 V's high-speed multi-frame overlay processing technology, this high performance allows it to capture low-noise photos with a wider dynamic range, equal to that of a full-frame camera. The 24mm lens on the back of the Xperia 1 V features an "Exmor T for mobile" stacked CMOS image sensor with 2-layer transistor pixels that is about 1.7 times larger than its predecessor.
