This fast F1.7 lens offers a beautiful bokeh effect for stunning and creative shots. The classic medium telephoto focal length of 42.5mm (equivalent to 85mm KB) is great for portrait photography, and the wide aperture allows for selective use of shallow depth of field. The versatile focusing distance is 0.31m, so you can easily capture lifelike close-ups of food, for example.

Fast signal transmission of up to 240 frames/second
In conjunction with current high-speed AF cameras, the lens enables a transmission rate of up to 240 frames/second. The internal focusing system and stepper motor for smooth and silent operation, work together with the camera's extremely fast and highly accurate contrast AF system during photo and video shooting.

Power O.I.S. Optical Image Stabilizer.
Due to the shallow depth of field typical of large aperture lenses, even the slightest shake causes blurring. The integrated optical image stabilizer effectively compensates for this not only during small, fast movements, but also during large movements, enabling extremely sharp shots, even in poorly lit situations.
