Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro G2
Achieve a "Hollywood Look"with Digital Film
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera brings all the professional features for feature films, television programs and documentaries. But now you can use those very same features to revolutionize other genres like video blogs, YouTube content and the like. Benefit from the same features as those of expensive digital film cameras. Capture richer colors, more detail, and a wider dynamic range between the brightest highlights and the darkest shadows. Because that's exactly why feature film images look so fantastic. And now you can get the same high-end production values on any job. Shoot cinematic-quality indie films, documentaries, music videos, wedding videos, corporate videos, and the like. Shoot
gorgeous high-dynamic-range images
Whether shooting in sunlight or lowlight, the 13-stop dynamic range with dual sensor native base sensitivities up to ISO 25,600 delivers brilliant low-noise images in all lighting conditions. The 6K G2 model is equipped with a larger Super 35 sensor that enables shallow depth-of-field shooting with anamorphic lenses. You can shoot at frame rates up to 60 fps with all models, or up to 120 fps in crop mode. Combined with Blackmagic color processing, the fabulous sensor offers the same imaging technology as higher-end digital film cameras.
Large 5-inch touchscreen for fast and accurate focusing
The bright 5-inch touchscreen on the back of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera makes framing and precise focusing easy. Onscreen overlays show status and recording parameters, histogram, focus peaking indicators, levels, frame margin markers and more. The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2's LCD screen is an advanced HDR display that can be tilted up and down to check settings from any position.
The advanced OS with the features of URSA Mini Pro
The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 is equipped with the same high-quality fifth-generation color processing as the top-of-the-line URSA Mini Pro 12K. That's why this camera delivers even more advanced image quality with superb skin tones and lifelike color reproduction in every setting. With the new 12-bit dynamic gamma curve, more color data is captured in highlights and shadows for more beautiful images. Because Color Science also handles some of Blackmagic RAW's complex image processing, more sensor data on color and dynamic range is preserved in metadata for post-production.
Professional Connectors for Custom Rigs
To facilitate precise outdoor and freehand shooting, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K models support attachment of the optional viewfinder. The Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF features a high-quality 1280 x 960 OLED color display with built-in proximity sensor and four-element diopter ranging from -4 to +4 diopters for unerring focus. A built-in digital test chart allows the viewfinder to focus perfectly. The electronic viewfinder also displays important status information such as image margin markers. The Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF attaches in an instant via a single connector. The viewfinder has a 70-degree swivel range and comes with four different eyecups for the left and right eyes.
Both Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K models now use larger NP-F570 batteries, allowing you to shoot longer without swapping batteries. A lockable DC power connector protects against accidentally unplugging the power cable in the middle of a shoot. The included AC power adapter powers the camera and charges the battery at the same time. In addition, the USB-C expansion port supports steady trickle charging. This allows batteries to be charged via portable battery packs, phone chargers, or laptops. The optional battery grip holds additional batteries that significantly extend the camera's operating time for all-day shooting, for example.
Record directly to external drives via USB-C
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera has an innovative high-speed USB-C expansion port for transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps. Most new computers have a USB-C port that even provides power. By connecting external accessories like memory sticks and SSDs, you can achieve much longer recording spans. A fast external drive lets you record 6K in 12-bit Blackmagic RAW Q0 at consistent quality or high frame rates. Conveniently, once you're done shooting, you can simply plug the external drive into your computer and start editing and color grading. Since this can be done with the same drive, there's no need to copy files.
