Canon XF705 Professional Camcorder
Advanced performance with outstanding features
With Canon's XF-HEVC codec, the XF705 is capable of recording 4K UHD/50P 4:2:2 10-bit footage with HDR (HLG/PQ) and saving directly to SD cards. A Canon 1.0-inch type CMOS sensor and Dual DIGIC DV6 processor deliver high-sensitivity, low-noise images, providing videographers with exceptional quality footage. High-quality audio playback is also possible - support for Canon Log 3 allows for greater grading flexibility in post-production.
In addition, videographers can capture action footage as MP4 in time-lapse and slow-motion, with slow-motion recording up to 120 fps in FHD. In line with the optimized performance is also the excellent ease of use. Featuring Canon Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, the XF705 offers smooth, accurate and reliable focus tracking and face detection, as well as easy focus point selection made possible by a 10cm touchscreen LCD. Manual focusing is supported by the focus assistant.
A sensational codec
The XF705 is the first camera to use Canon's new professional XF-HEVC codec. This next-generation format uses an MXF container and HEVC/H.265, giving it four times the efficiency of MPEG-2 and twice the efficiency of XF-AVC. Videographers will have the ability to record 4K UHD/50P 4:2:2 10-bit footage internally to SD cards.
Easy HDR workflows
The XF705 allows users to record HDR directly to SD cards, supporting either HybridLog Gamma (HLG) or Perceptual Quantization (PQ) and requiring no post-production color correction. Videographers can also simultaneously record HDR to an SD card while externally outputting an SDR signal. A feature allows users to adjust the SDR gain relative to the HDR signal so that both HDR and SDR images are correctly exposed.
Advanced 12G SDI and IP Streaming
With four times the bandwidth of 3G-SDI, the 12G-SDI interface is capable of transmitting high-quality uncompressed data over a single professional cable. The internal LAN interface enables 4K IP streaming.
