The Sony Alpha FX3 (ILME-FX3), is the most compact camera in the Cinema Line and was designed from the ground up for filmmakers working alone. With its built-in cooling solution, the FX3's shooting time can be significantly extended, making it suitable for a wider range of uses.

It shoots outstanding 4k full-frame quality at up to 120p, minimal rolling shutter and wide dynamic range even in low light (ISO up to 409,600) thanks to its 10.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and new Bionz XR image processor. The camera opens up new creative expression possibilities with built-in S-LOG3 and S-CINETONE image profiles, ushering in a new era of Sony Cinema Line cameras.

The Sony FX3 also offers new shooting possibilities thanks to new technologies for fast and accurate autofocus such as real-time eye autofocus, real-time tracking with touch function, and customizable autofocus tracking sensitivity. It is further equipped with a 5-axis image stabilizer with Active mode, making it ideal for handheld video.

In addition to its compact form factor, the FX3 comes with a detachable top handle that can be used to implement XLR inputs for professional microphones or other audio connections. The concept of a camera cage with various grip and screw options is already built into the camera to allow the form factor to be even more compact when shooting.

The most advanced technology available has been applied to the G-Master series, further optimizing the highly acclaimed performance of the Sony G Lens. In this model, an optimized G Lens bokeh effect is combined with new levels of resolution in a superior constant F2.8 tele-Zoom that offers unsurpassed imaging, ultra-fast autofocus, and exceptional image stabilization.

Specially designed to resolve spatial frequencies with excellent contrast, this lens features three aspherical elements, such as a double-sided element and a newly developed XA (extreme aspherical) element with 0.01 micron surface precision to effectively control aberrations, for amazing resolution and stunning bokeh effects.

Natural images without distracting colors
aberrations, which can be a problem with telephoto lenses, are comprehensively suppressed through the use of four extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements and two super-aspherical glass elements. Bleeding is prevented, allowing the subject to be captured with maximum sharpness.

Superior close-up performance
Premium close-up performance with a minimum focus distance of 0.96m and 0.25x maximum magnification is perfect for portraits, macro shooting, and more. Elements that provide further optimization include ED glass elements and a smooth focus mechanism that controls deviations that can cause problems in close-up applications.

Fast autofocus optimized for stills and video
Two heavy focus groups are positioned quickly and precisely by separate actuators: a powerful Super Sonic wave motor (ultrasonic motor) actuator for the front group and a dual linear motor actuator for the rear group. Improved positioning precision with feedback from multiple position sensors in real time allows the body's autofocus system to operate at full capacity.

The dual linear motor of the focusing system performs the role of "sweep" activation for the autofocus contrast detection system when shooting video. The optical design effectively minimizes "breathing" and provides quiet mechanics for higher focusing performance, which is particularly well-suited for both movie and photo shooting.

Operation and reliability optimized for outdoor shooting
The solid construction with constant lens length during focusing and Zooming contributes to excellent handling in the widest possible range of shooting situations. Focus hold buttons can hold the metering field in permanent autofocus even during operation, and a focus range limiter switch can be used to use a preset range for the focusing distance, achieving maximum autofocus speed.
