Impressive cinematic image quality
The ILME-FX30 offers advanced performance for truly high-quality cinematic expression. It achieves high sensitivity, low noise and wide dynamic range, delivering 4K Super 35 resolution for stunning image quality. S-Cinetone™ ensures natural midtones, soft colors and gorgeous highlights that are essential for cinematic expression. Shoot with the S-Log3 gamma curve to achieve smooth color gradation in cinema and minimize color gradation in post-production with the imported custom mapping LUTs. Dual Base ISO (800 / 2500) allows you to capture the best quality images in different lighting conditions.
Advanced AF performance
The ILME-FX30 offers highly reliable and accurate autofocus performance with wide-area tracking across the entire frame. Real-time eye AF, which follows the face and eyes (of people and animals), keeps the subject in focus. Focus is maintained precisely and consistently over a wide area, even at shallow depth of field or when tracking fast-moving subjects with real-time tracking. Stable AF and flexible focusing are available for a variety of shooting situations. AF Assist, Focus Map and Breathing Compensation are great auxiliary functions.
Compact and cageless design
The ILME-FX30 has a compact and lightweight shape designed for portability and efficiency. The housing has five threaded holes for accessories, eliminating the need for a cage for optimal flexibility, stability and comfort. The integrated stabilization keeps the entire setup highly mobile and can be used in difficult shooting situations without a gimbal
. Flexible operability for film production
Quickly access your favorite elements with the new main menu. Focus on composition and framing with the optimized standby mode for filming. Shooting lights and highlighted shooting indicators provide clear confirmation of the current shot. The flexible, high-resolution touchscreen LCD monitor allows wide positioning and framing freedom for gimbal shots. The Zoom lever controls compatible motorized Zoom lenses and enables the use of Clear Image Zoom with non-motorized Zoom and fixed focal lengths with excellent image quality. Auto and manual modes for aperture, shutter speed and ISO can be set independently for flexible exposure mode. Vertical side markers to check framing in horizontal orientation.
Highly expandable
With an optional XLR microphone and XLR handle, digital audio data can be transmitted directly to the camera - for excellent audio quality with a very clean audio signal. Other connections include USB Type-C®, multi/micro USB, microphone, headphones and a multi interface shoe with integrated digital audio interface. All these connection options offer a wide range of expansion possibilities for a variety of recording requirements. The ILME-FX30 also supports UVC (USB Video Class) and UAC (USB Audio Class) standards and can be connected via USB to a compatible device to serve as a high-performance webcam.

Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 DC DN © for Sony-E
High speed of F2.8 and outstanding image quality
The SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary covers the focal length range between 27 and 75mm (equivalent to 35mm format) - with a continuous speed of F2.8. This makes it ideal for portraits and close-ups where the subject needs to be cropped against a blurred background that does not distract from the subject in focus thanks to the attractive, soft bokeh
. With three high-precision, bright-pressed aspherical lenses and a reduction in the total number of optical elements, the lens achieves outstanding image quality with a low weight. The in-camera correction of optical disturbances also helps to eliminate aberrations such as distortion and vignetting. This performance is made possible by the advanced lens development technology at SIGMA's sole manufacturing facility in Aizu, Japan, where all SIGMA lenses are produced.
Exceptionally light and compact - ideal for mirrorless cameras
The SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary is remarkably light and compact, making it the perfect complement to APS-C mirrorless cameras. It is the perfect standard zoom, ideal for everyday use and suitable for a wide range of shooting situations. The lens is currently the smallest and lightest in its class*, with a maximum diameter of 65.4mm, a length of 74.5mm and a weight of 290g*, while maintaining a constant aperture of F2.8.
To keep the weight down, SIGMA has constructed the lens from specially selected materials. The lens barrel is made of TSC (Thermally-Stable-Composite) polycarbonate, which is slim and robust and, above all, has a thermal conductivity similar to that of aluminum. This ensures high reliability and smooth operation in changing temperatures. For some internal components, SIGMA deliberately opted for metal, as these parts require less material while being stronger.
As a
result, the lens is designed to withstand more intensive use
*As an autofocus Zoom lens with a continuous aperture of F2.8 for APS-C (as of October 2021, from SIGMA).
Suitable for a wide range of shooting situations
The SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary has a fast and almost silent autofocus, which makes it suitable for a wide range of photographic applications, including shooting in quiet environments and taking videos and photos that require fast focus tracking. This is achieved by using a stepper motor to drive the focus. As the lens is small and lightweight, it can be used very flexibly in situations that require high mobility, or when shooting from hard-to-reach shooting positions, gimbal shots, one-man video recordings and vlogging.
The lens was developed with a wide range of applications in mind, so SIGMA has chosen a design with a closest focusing distance of 12.1cm and a maximum magnification of 1:2.8**, which makes it ideal for close-up photography.
Together with the extremely compact SIGMA fp full-frame camera, this results in a total weight of just 712g - so the lens can also be used as a "back-up" on a full-frame camera in crop mode if, for example, the weight of the equipment needs to be minimized.
The 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary, which combines compact dimensions, low weight, high performance and high speed, can handle a wide range of tasks, primarily with mirrorless entry-level models in both photography and video recording, but also with full-frame cameras.
**The information on magnification and closest focusing distance applies to the shortest focal length.
