The black M1-S is a thoroughbred stage vocal microphone with on/off switch.
The main focus was on the transmission quality and a 100% road-ready finish. The M1-S uses a cardioid neodymium capsule and is primarily aimed at rock, blues, soul and pop vocalists who are looking for a loud, feedback-insensitive live microphone that fits perfectly in the hand with minimal handling noise.
The frequency response of the M1 has been optimally tuned for live vocals, and the pop filter integrated into the basket effectively softens explosive consonants - without sacrificing transparency.
In principle, the M1-S sounds a touch more "hi-fi" than other live mics, but still has the important rich mids to easily hold its own against drums and guitar amps - very important in the rehearsal room as well.
A useful feature of the M1-S is its ON/OFF slide switch. On stage - for example during breaks - it often made sense to mute the microphone.
