RODE's top model "NTG8" is a 56 cm long shotgun microphone in high-frequency technology with 1/2" true condenser capsule. Product images show optional accessories and application examples.
- 1/2" true condenser capsule (supercardioid)
- increased directivity due to interference principle
- robust metal housing, extremely climate-resistant
- high sensitivity, very low self-noise - high-end broadcast sound quality
high sensitivity, very low self-noise
- high-end broadcast sound quality
- insensitive to magnetic interference fields
- effective structure-borne noise suppression
Thanks to its interference principle, the NTG8 has an increased directional effect and delivers absolute high-end broadcast quality - with sensationally low self-noise (8 dBA) and extremely high sensitivity (97.5 mV).
The frequency response of the NTG8 is - with the exception of a very subtle presence boost - as if drawn with a ruler, even off-axis, i.e. for sound arriving from the side. The sound of the NTG8 is therefore completely coloration-free and extremely natural.
The NTG8 is extremely insensitive to adverse climatic conditions, RF interference and structure-borne noise, and in principle completely immune to moisture and condensation. It is therefore an ideal microphone for sports and outdoor recordings and, of course, animal filming.
