The Reporter is a handheld microphone with a dynamic omnidirectional capsule and is therefore much easier to handle than the cardioid microphones often used for interviews, which must always be held right in front of the speaker's mouth. Its transmission range has been specially tuned to voices, thus guaranteeing optimum intelligibility. The microphone has a cast aluminum body with a matte black finish. The multi-layer grille basket protects the capsule from background noise and often eliminates the need for a clunky windscreen. Included is a "flag stand" that can be customized with the station's logo, etc. The RØDE Reporter is manufactured in Australia.
