The sound quality is first class - the VideoMic GO II delivers a crystal clear, completely coloration-free sound and at 15 dBA has minimal inherent noise. With its supercardioid polar pattern, the VideoMic GO II focuses on signals from the front at a narrow angle (approx. 45°); lateral sound sources are hardly taken into account.

RØDE's self-developed HELIX Isomount vibration mount ensures optimum mechanical decoupling of the microphone, which virtually eliminates disturbing grip and other handling noises. A hot shoe adapter for camera mounting and a 3/8" thread for attaching the microphone to a tripod or boom pole are integrated into the base of the mount. The audio connection to the camera is made via the supplied 3.5 mm TRS cable.

24 bit/48 kHz audio interface is built into the VideoMic GO II. If you wish, you can use the USB-C socket on the side and a suitable cable (SC15, SC16, SC17, SC18, SC19, SC21, SC22, SC27) to connect the microphone digitally to a Mac, PC or Android or iOS device. Particularly practical: the 3.5 mm TRS socket on the microphone can be used as a headphone output in this case. The VideoMic GO II is officially MFi-certified, which allows it to be used with iPhones

. A foam windscreen is included in the scope of delivery for outdoor recordings. To ensure interference-free recordings even in strong winds, we recommend purchasing the optional WS12 fur windscreen.
