Rode XCM-50 USB-C Condenser Microphone
USB condenser microphone incl. UNIFY streaming software and Tripod 2 table stand
The ultimate sound solution for streamers and gamers. A professional condenser microphone including free use of RØDE's ingenious streaming/recording software UNIFY: a virtual mixer with 10 freely assignable input channels, 6 separately configurable stereo output mixes and 8 trigger pads. Operating several USB microphones on the computer at the same time? No problem with UNIFY. Create 6 separate stereo output mixes? Edit your voice like in the studio with a high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor and Aphex®? All done with a few mouse clicks.
The microphone
The XCM-50, which is just under 12 cm high and manufactured by RØDE in Australia, transmits even the finest nuances with its gold-plated 1/2" condenser capsule and can therefore be used at a greater distance. The XCM-50 also has an internal pop protection, which effectively prevents the typical background noise when used at close range. A special DSP chip is built into the microphone which, in conjunction with the UNIFY software, allows the signal to be processed with a high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor and the legendary Aphex® Exciter and Big Bottom. The
XCM-50 features RØDE's proprietary Revolution® preamp, which pre-amplifies even quiet voices to a rich, completely noise-free level. The XCM-50 is a typical cardioid microphone, i.e. sound from the side and rear is significantly attenuated and the pick-up angle to the front is approx. 90°. The microphone can be precisely swiveled in its fork mount and thus perfectly aligned to the speaker. The 3.5 mm TRS headphone socket and the USB-C connection are located on the back. The XCM-50 has a really powerful headphone amplifier - so if you want, you can really turn up the volume; the volume can be adjusted with the rotary control on the front.
The software
The XCM-50 allows the free use of UNIFY. The software was developed by RØDE in collaboration with professional streamers and gamers and offers 10 virtual channels that can be assigned to the desired input signal simply by dragging and dropping. You can then create a separate mix for each of the 6 stereo outputs (game, 2x headphones, chat, recording, monitor) and specify exactly who should hear what and at what volume. The eight trigger pads on the right-hand side can be assigned any audio files, which can then be fired or started with a click of the mouse. Here are the main features of UNIFY:

up to 4 USB microphones can be operated simultaneously on the computer
