Sony ECM-L1 lavalier microphone
Outstanding sound recording thanks to professional audio technology
The ECM-L1 was developed on the basis of the ECM-77 series microphones, which have been in use in broadcasting stations and other facilities for many years. The fixed electrode plate of the microphone capsule is made of hard ceramic. Its outstanding vibration characteristics ensure excellent sound quality with a good rise time and high resolution. In addition, the capsule is encased in milled brass to suppress unwanted external resonances, resulting in clear, crisp sound recordings. The high-purity, oxygen-free copper (OFC) cable reduces losses during audio transmission without compromising the excellent sound quality.
High reliability for trouble-free recordings
With its brass housing, which protects against wear and tear, the ECM-L1 can also withstand harsh conditions on location. The 2.2 mm diameter cable is break-proof and a locking ring at the connection point to the recording device prevents the plug from accidentally coming loose.
To reduce wind and breathing noise, two types of windscreen are supplied: one made of metal and one made of synthetic fur. If you want a more discreet appearance, you can opt for the metal version, while the faux fur version reduces wind noise even more under appropriate recording conditions.
Plug-in power supply via a wide range of devices
The ECM-L1 lavalier microphone supports a plug-in power supply, meaning it can be powered via the connected device. It can be connected to a wide range of devices that have a 3.5 mm microphone input, such as cameras, smartphones, wireless microphones, IC recorders and computers. This enables high-quality audio recordings in a wide variety of application scenarios.
