The Sony UWP-D27/K21PRO is a dual channel wireless microphone system. The included ECM-77BMP lavalier microphone connects to the compact UTX-B40 bodypack transmitter. Audio signals are transmitted wirelessly to the URX-P41D portable 2-channel receiver. Wireless pairing between the transmitter and receiver is quick and easy. The SMAD-P5 multi-interface adapter shoe, which is also included, simplifies audio recording using compatible cameras. The URX-P41D's IR port allows the user to select NFC or IR in the SYNC MODE of the utility menu. This allows owners of earlier transmitter models (UTX-B03/UTX-M03/UTX-P03) to synchronize with the receiver using IR. To ensure optimal levels at all times in various environments and situations, the UWP-D Series features an Auto Gain mode that automatically keeps audio levels constant, as well as switchable +15 dB extra input sensitivity for
low source volume situations. The UWP-D series receivers also all provide a monitor mode that allows the receiver to be used for in-ear monitoring.
