The WLAN motion detector is ideal for use as an alarm system: Installed in the hallway, basement staircase or other critical areas, the sensor registers any movement within a wide radius - and immediately sends you a push message to your smartphone. This way, you can also react in time if you are on vacation, for example, and ask a neighbor to check up on your house. Even if someone should try to bypass the motion sensor and remove it, this manipulation attempt will be reported to you. So you can leave the house at any time with peace of mind.

More comfort

When used in conjunction with Hama's WiFi lamps, the motion sensor offers you numerous ways to tailor the lighting in your home to your exact daily routine: As soon as the sensor registers a movement, this information is forwarded to a specific lamp and the light comes on.

For example, couple the sensor with the lamp in your garage and it will automatically turn on as soon as you drive in with your car. Or use the motion sensor to create a night light or automated lighting in the hallway and stairwell, where you otherwise tend to forget to turn off the light: Via the app, you can easily set how long and how bright the lamp should shine - practical, for example, if you want the lamp to shine at full intensity in the evening, but only dimmed at night so as not to dazzle you.

Quick and easy setup

To set up the WLAN motion detector, all you need is the Hama Smart Home app, which you can download for free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your smartphone or tablet. With its help, Hama Smart Home products can be easily connected to your wireless home network via WiFi - no additional expensive gateway (hub) is required and it works with any WLAN router.

Simply mount the motion detector in the desired location using the included mounting hardware and pair it with the Hama smart home app. After successful connection, you can set it up as a warning detector or create appropriate scenes and automations for use in lighting control. If needed, the motion detector can be reconfigured and repurposed at any time.

The WiFi motion detector scores with completely different areas of application and functions if you couple them with other smart home products or set up certain scenes. This is easily possible via the Hama app. You can perfectly automate simple, everyday actions with smart home systems.

Scenarios make life easier

• Scenario "Camera": If the WiFi lights in the house come on, then the sensitivity of the WiFi camera's motion detection should be set to low.

• "Ventilate" scenario: Fresh air trailers ventilate well and a lot, but unfortunately too much ventilation in winter means freezing cold rooms. This is unpleasant and also not energy efficient. With the smart WiFi door/window contact from Hama, you can set yourself a reminder to close the window in the living room, kitchen and bathroom again after 15 minutes. This is how to get fresh air without freezing!

• Scenario "Night light": At night, you can also use the scenes to program the motion detector to turn on the lights in the hallway only to 20%. This way you can be sure that you won't be blinded at night and family members won't wake up due to the light.

Create automation in combination with other products

In your case, the depths of your closet are also rather poorly lit? Install a WiFi lamp or a lamp connected to a WiFi socket in the closet. Pair this with the WiFi door/window contact that you attach to the closet doors. When you open the closet, the light shines: your favorite skirt and cozy hoodie suddenly emerge from the darkness. Seen enough of the chaos of clothes? When you close the doors, the light also goes out again.

Hot, hotter, summer in Germany - many people are upgrading their homes with air conditioning. But what can you do to prevent it from turning out to be a real power guzzler? The WiFi socket from Hama with an electricity meter is ideal for this purpose. On the one hand, you can use the socket to see how much electricity the air conditioner is eating up and at the same time control that the air conditioner should only come on from 35° outside temperature.

On the other hand, in combination with the door/window contact, automation can be set. For example, as soon as you open the patio doors to work in the garden, the air conditioner should turn off. When the gardening is done and you close the patio doors again, the air conditioner should start. In this way, even a less energy-friendly appliance can be used in an energy-saving way.

As soon as you leave the house after 18:00 o'clock, the sensitivity of the motion detection of the WiFi camera should be set to "high". Thus, all movements that the camera detects, will be sent as a notification in the form of a push message to the smartphone.

The motion detector in the hallway automatically turns on the WiFi lamp in the ceiling light as soon as you enter the hallway - without any cumbersome wiring, but simply via the WiFi connection. In this way, you can easily add a motion detector to any room, even if the structural conditions would not allow it.
