DJI RS 4 Combo
2nd Generation Native Vertical Sh
ootingThe DJI RS 4 includes a newly developed horizontal plate that enables second-generation native vertical shooting and faster and easier operation. You can simply detach the horizontal plate without any additional accessories and attach it in the vertical position to effortlessly switch to vertical shooting [2] and efficiently create vertical videos.
2nd generation automatic axis locks
Withthe automatic axis locks, the RS 4 is quickly ready for use or can quickly switch to sleep mode, significantly improving recording,
transition and storage efficiency
distances between the axis locks are smaller when locked, further reducing gimbal shake
.The best balancing experience yet
All three axes of the DJI RS 4 feature a Teflon™ coating for reduced friction and smoother balancing. When changing cameras or lenses, the camera can be moved forward or backward with the fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis for precise and millimeter-accurate balancing. The upper quick-release plate has an additional adjustable position guide to further secure the camera.
Automatic screen lock
The OLED touchscreen includes a new automatic lock function. After locking, the current gimbal and joystick mode are displayed on the screen with low brightness. This not only prevents accidental operations, but also saves battery
power. Powerful stabilization
Outstanding payload capacity
The lightweight housing offers a payload capacity of 3 kg. It can accommodate common mirrorless cameras and lens combinations and allows for comfortable carrying as well as robust performance
.Compared to the previous generation, the tilt axis of the RS 4 has been extended by 8.5 mm, providing more space for balancing. This allows you to mount common mirrorless cameras and lens combinations along with accessories such as ND filters to expand your creative potential.
4th generation RS stabilization algorithm
DJI has comprehensively optimized the next-generation RS stabilization algorithm for different usage scenarios. It provides a perfect balance between stabilization and haptics during camera movement, ensuring outstanding stabilization performance and an enhanced user experience. In addition, the RS 4 is characterized by significantly better stability when shooting vertically, so that dynamic shots, e.g. when running or shooting from low angles, can be taken easily and blur-free.
Professional Shooting
The DJI RS 4 supports the professional features of DJI PRO products and offers superior performance that makes shooting by individual camera operators more efficient.
Wireless Bluetooth Control
With dual-mode Bluetooth technology, the DJI RS 4 can control the camera shutter and lens Zoom remotely. In Zoom control mode, you can use the joystick to perform Power Zoom operations for PZ lenses as well as Clear Image Zoom operations [3]. A camera only needs to be paired once. After that, it can be seamlessly and automatically reconnected.
Support for the DJI Focus Pro Motor
When paired with the new DJI Focus Pro Motor [4], you can control the lens focus via the DJI RS 4's control wheel or adjust the lens {
96}via the joystick. This optimized operation allows for efficient lens control.
Customizable trigger function
The trigger can be set to FPV mode, where the three axes of the gimbal follow the handle movement when the trigger is held down. This is especially useful for rotational shots or to simulate the field of view.
Gimbal mode switch
The gimbal mode switch allows you to quickly switch between pan follow, pan & tilt and FPV modes. In addition, you can set the FPV mode to "3D 360° Rotation" or "Custom" depending on your shooting requirements, so that the RS 4 is ready for precise use.
RSA communication interface
The DJI RS 4 includes a new RSA communication interface that allows you to connect accessories such as the DJI RS control block for tethering [6] and third-party accessories such as control handles [6] and ring handles for remote control. [6] Depending on your creative needs, you can flexibly switch between different shooting setups
.With the DJI RS SDK protocol, third-party vendors and individual developers can develop custom features for the RS 4 to meet a wide range of shooting needs.
DJI RS BG70 Handle with High Capacity Battery
The new BG70 Handle with High Capacity Battery [6] can extend the battery life of the RS 4 to 29.5 hours. [7] It can also power the camera and accessories with up to 18 watts via the USB-C port at the bottom of the handle.
Support for the DJI Ronin video transmitter
Both solo camera operators and small teams can use the Ronin video transmitter [6] for high-resolution live feeds, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile and more - for a shooting experience with integrated monitoring and control features.
*The DJI Ronin app is required for activation when using the DJI RS 4 for the first time.
Wide range of accessories
The separately available accessories for the DJI RS series [6] such as the RS BG30 battery grip, the RS Focus Motor (2022) and the Ronin video transmitter are all compatible with the RS 4.
[The data was measured by comparing the battery life of the DJI RS 4 with the DJI RS BG70 Grip with High Capacity Battery and that of the DJI RS 4 with the DJI RS BG21 Battery Grip. The battery life was measured in an indoor environment at 25° C with the gimbal balanced horizontally in a stationary state until the battery level was 3% (with the battery grip only supplying power to the gimbal).
[2.] After switching between horizontal and vertical shots, the gimbal must be rebalanced.
[3.] For more information on camera and lens compatibility, please refer to the Ronin series compatibility search page.
[4.] The DJI RS 4 Combo includes a DJI Focus Pro motor. The motor for the standalone version is sold separately.
