RØDECaster Video is a ground-breaking video and audio production console that does far more than a conventional vision mixer. Equipped with an extremely powerful CPU, the RØDECaster Video offers a superior intuitive workflow with its clear control panel and innovative scene-based switching architecture.

Content creators, livestreamers and video producers of all kinds will be delighted with the flat learning curve, speed of operation, automatic chroma keying, automated camera switching - and of course the professional audio section built into the RØDECaster Video.

The 30 cm wide console offers seven dedicated scene and six source buttons, plus AUTO, CUT and the six function buttons Fade to Black, Media, Overlay, Multi Source, Keying and Inspect. The rear also has a lot to offer: four HDMI inputs, two HDMI outputs, five (!) USB-C ports, four 6.35 mm TRS sockets for speakers and headphones, two XLR/6.35 mm combo sockets for microphones and line sources as well as the microSD card slot for the two integrated media players.

The RØDECaster Video allows direct recording (H.264) to an external USB drive, ISO recording of 6 video sources plus program feed as well as direct RTMP streaming to common platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Twitch, YouTube, etc.) via Ethernet or wirelessly via Ethernet.

Wide range of connections

The RØDECaster Video has four HDMI inputs, two freely configurable HDMI outputs and an Ethernet port. In addition, five USB-C ports: 2x USB-C input for video (UVC) or RØDE USB audio devices, 2x USB-C port to the computer (dual audio/video interface) plus a separate USB output for an external drive (hard disk, USB stick). Media files (MP4, JPG, PNG, WAV) can be played from a microSD card, the corresponding slot is located above the Ethernet port. Two 6.35 mm TRS sockets for connecting two stereo headphones and two balanced 6.35 mm TRS sockets (L/R) for connecting studio monitor speakers complete the rear panel.

Intuitive control panel

The clear control panel of the RØDECaster Video combines intuitive control with flexible functions. Large, dedicated buttons allow you to switch video sources and scenes, start and stop recordings, activate automatic transitions and directly access functions such as chroma key control, multi-source layouts, graphics and media. A 2" touchscreen and switch encoder allow for easy configuration, and

the seven scene buttons can be used to plan and design an entire production. Each button can contain custom layouts that include multiple video sources, images, videos and chroma key inputs. With the innovative "Inspect" button, you can check which scene is assigned to a button at any time and adjust it if necessary. Intelligent auto-switching enables automated camera and scene changes depending on the audio signal - ideal for solo producers.

Professional audio section

The audio section of the RØDECaster Video is hard to overestimate: two Neutrik combo sockets (XLR/6.35 mm) for connecting microphones, instruments or line sources plus two built-in wireless receivers for current RØDE wireless transmitters. An audiophile preamp in the signal path ensures ultra-low noise and extremely powerful pre-amplification of up to 76 dB.

The audio signal can then be extensively processed and refined with the integrated audio signal processor: Compressor, Equalizer, De-Esser, Stereo Panorama, Noise Gate, High Pass Filter, Aural Exciter, Big Bottom and Compellor can be set separately for each audio input and used simultaneously.

RØDECaster Video is manufactured at RØDE's headquarters in Sydney, Australia. Two Wi-Fi antennas, the power supply and a SuperSpeed USB-C cable are included.
